Am I eligible for abortion funding and other practical support?
If you live in or are having an abortion in eastern Massachusetts, you are eligible for funding with the EMA Fund. If you do not, please visit the NNAF website to find a local fund in your state.
We do not provide retroactive funding for past abortion costs. Please do not submit an intake for an appointment that has already taken place.

Our boundaries and process:
We are a small team of volunteers and part-time staff doing our best to meet requests for abortion and practical support funding. Within 48 hours of filling out this form, we will reach out to you over text or a phone call from a blocked number to confirm your funding details. Please update your phone settings to receive calls from blocked numbers.
We cannot guarantee a response to requests made within 48 hours of an appointment date, so please reach out to us at least 2 days before your appointment.
Filing out this form is not a guarantee of funding.
If you are a coordinator filling this out on behalf of a patient, please note that below.
We work with most clinics in Massachusetts but know that some private OB/GYNs also offer abortion care. If you are going to a doctor we have not previously worked with, we may not be able to provide funding.

MassHealth and other public health plans in Massachusetts cover abortion, so you can use your health insurance to pay for your abortion. If you still need help, call the EMA Fund at (866)-475-0293.

If you make less than $50,000 per year, you might qualify for public health insurance like MassHealth, which covers abortion. Pregnant people can get coverage in just a few days. If you need help getting insurance quickly, call Health Care for All (1-800-272-4232 or visit www.hcfama.org/helpline) and tell them we sent you. If you still need help paying for your abortion, please fill out our intake form.
The EMA Fund will provide access to abortion for anyone, regardless of citizenship status or age. We respect all of our callers’ privacy. All calls are confidential, and we do not store any personal information beyond what is necessary to coordinate billing with clinics.
